Brief descriptions about the individuals comprising EZGSA's staff can be found below.

Scott Orbach, President

Scott A. Orbach is co-founder and President of EZGSA. Mr. Orbach has more than 15 years of experience in the business consulting and contract management arena. An accomplished speaker, he serves as EZGSA’s spokesperson and leads informational seminars throughout the United States on topics such as GSA Schedules and government contracting.

Scott has been an invited speaker for many organizations, including the Small Business Administration (in Baltimore, San Antonio, and Houston), the Small Business Development Center (College Park, MD), the Women’s Business Center (Washington, DC), NeoCon® World’s Trade Fair (Chicago), America’s Security Expo (Miami), National Contract Management Association’s World Congress (Orlando), Institute of Management Consultants (Washington, DC) and United Professional Sales Association (Washington, DC).

Prior to co-founding EZGSA in 1999, Scott served as Director of Finance at Koba Associates and as Chief Financial Officer at Cambridge Research Associates, both government contractors. More recently, Mr. Orbach served as president and co-founder of MidLantic Contract Management, which provided IT, financial, GSA Schedule, Deltek, and DCAA consulting to government contractors.

Scott earned his BS from American University, Kogod College of Business Administration. He has also completed graduate work at the University of Maryland and the Florida Institute of Technology. He is an elected council member in the Town of Chevy Chase, MD and has served on the board of the Bethesda Rotary. Scott also serves on the board of the Greater Bethesda/Chevy Chase Coalition.

Evie Altman, Principal

In 1999, Evie Altman co-founded EZGSA with Scott Orbach. Until the Spring of 2005, Evie oversaw business development, production, and corporate initiatives, in addition to monitoring GSA Schedules and maintaining relationships with local and national government officials and procurement officers. Evie now spends more time with her family and with creative projects while serving an advisory role for all aspects of the business. She also continues to provide quality control for all proposals and marketing projects undertaken by EZGSA and assists with managing personnel.

Previous to Evie's work with EZGSA, she served for six years as president of Evolve, Inc., a company specializing in program development and grant writing for non-profits and government agencies. She had also: served as executive director of the International Osteoarthritis Research Society, where she spearheaded international meetings and assisted with journal editing; acted as director of program development for Koba Associates, a government contractor based in Washington, D.C.

Before Koba, Evie spent three years as an action organizer in the central office of the National Organization for Woman (NOW), where she met with NOW members across the country to organize meetings and rallies, created white papers and brochures, worked with the NOW political action committee, and helped develop a variety of public relations materials and events.

Evie has also worked as the assistant editor for New Times, a weekly newspaper in Miami, and as a freelance music critic. She received her undergraduate degrees in Film and Literature from Boston University.

Gina Brown Alston, Proposal Specialist

Gina Brown Alston joined EZGSA in May 2004 as a Proposal Specialist. She comes from a government sales background, which included marketing, sales proposal writing, bid responding, and overall contract maintenance.

She has worked on numerous government projects with departments such as the U.S. Census Bureau, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Transportation Security Administration. Her role as the primary contact and liaison between clients helped to maintain seamless assignments from beginning to end.

Gina worked for CORT Furniture Rental for four years and provided national government sales support. During her tenure at CORT, she participated in trade shows, seminars, and other national meetings.

Gina earned her BA in communications from Mary Baldwin College.

Myron Cowell, Director of Sales

Richard "Myron" Cowell has nine years of experience in the federal sales arena and has expert qualifications in all areas of sales leadership, business strategy, and contract management. He joined EZGSA in 2003 as a Senior Sales Manager and has since helped establish EZGSA as the premiere solutions provider for businesses that want to be successful in the federal market place. Myron is currently the Director of Sales at EZGSA. He assists organizations of all sizes with increasing their knowledge and revenue in the federal sector.

Jack Eisenstein, Senior Proposal Specialist

Jack Eisenstein joined EZGSA in March of 2005 as a Senior Proposal Specialist. Jack has been involved in proposal development for federal and state agencies for 23 years and has been actively involved in government contracting for more than 25 years. Jack also brings technical expertise to EZGSA in integrated logistics support.

His strengths include analysis of, and strict compliance with, RFP requirements and technical specifications. Jack has developed a reputation for assembling highly compliant proposals that address all of the government’s requirements. Jack has also been involved in contract management, developing contract data mechanisms for identifying the most desirable contract vehicles and the opportunities to meet ever-changing corporate goals.

Magdalena Ivanova-Ilieva, Contracts Administrator

Before joining EZGSA, Magdalena gained valuable experience as a project and contract manager in a fast paced business environment. She provided strong customer service and was responsible for the day-to-day office management, overall control and follow-up of contracted projects, maintaining close communication with clients, finding solutions to identified problems.

Magdalena has a background in engineering, economic, and business relationships as well as administrative experience. She has successfully worked on an international level for the implementation of EC projects.

Marci Millen, Director of Marketing

As director of marketing for EZGSA, Marci oversees corporate branding, advertising and public relations initiatives to build awareness of EZGSA services throughout the business community.  Her broad range of advertising and marketing experience, from radio and publishing to hospitality and government, serves as a clear advantage when targeting the diverse audience of potential EZGSA clients.

Before joining EZGSA in 2001, Marci served as production manager at Ratner Companies, where she produced promotional campaigns and materials for over 800 hair salons. At Ratner, Marci worked with both creative and marketing teams to create and execute dynamic advertising campaigns for a national client base. Marci previously held the role of Print Buyer at Phillips Publishing, Inc. in which she managed all aspects of printing and distribution of over 80 million direct mail pieces annually. Marci also spent three years as a production coordinator for William J. Kircher & Associates, Inc., where she was responsible for a wide range of diverse and creative production techniques, as well as direct response marketing.

Marci began her career assisting the advertising and promotion director at WMAL AM 630 Radio in Washington, D.C., where she wrote and distributed press releases and developed outside promotional campaigns for the station as well as the Washington Redskins.

Marci received her BA in Business from University of Maryland.

Karian Mitchell, Proposal Assistant

Karian began working with EZGSA in 2006, and quickly became an integral part of the production staff. She excels at GSA Advantage! uploads and has come to integrally understand the workings of all manner of GSA Schedule modifications.

Ronniece Pearcy, Junior Proposal Specialist

Ronniece Pearcy joined EZGSA in January 2003 as the Office Manager/Executive Assistant. She was promoted to Production Coordinator in September 2004.

Past work experience, which prepared Ronniece for the challenges at EZGSA, include three years at Serco Management Services (A Fleet Maintenance Company) where she was promoted from Work Order Clerk to Lead Service Writer, overseeing a staff of five, to the Administrative Customer Service Manager. Ms. Pearcy was also employed as the Executive Assistant to the Regional Director of Sales for the Discovery Channel Flagship Store in Washington DC.

Marlia Piedramartel, Network Administrator/IT Specialist

Marlia started working with EZGSA in August of 2003. She has more than eight years experience in the fields of information technologies and information services (IT/IS). Marlia earned her BA in Computer Science from Catholic University of Pernambuco (Brazil) and worked for a Brazilian government institution for five years as a computer specialist. In the past, she worked with a telecommunication firm in Washington DC, with branches in Latin America and the Caribbean, to provide network administration support as well as database development and design.

Ralph Rotfus, Account Manager

Ralph joined the EZGSA Team in September 2003 as a Research Assistant. He was promoted to Account Executive in April 2004. Ralph is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Government and Politics.

Christie Zepeda, Contracts Manager

As Contracts Manager, Christie responds to the needs of EZGSA clients with GSA Schedules. Whether answering general questions about GSA, updating a client’s GSA pricelist, renegotiating a Schedule’s basis of award, or monitoring GSA mandated registrations and reporting requirements, Christie assures that client organizations’ best interest are always maintained within the parameters of GSA regulations.

Prior to joining EZGSA in 2006, Christie managed and prepared responses to federal government requests for proposal as well as administered government contracts. She contributed to bringing in three highly coveted multi-million dollar information technology contracts.
 
With more than six years cradle-to-grave federal procurement experience, Christie brings to EZGSA substantial knowledge in the areas of Federal Acquisition Regulation, proposal and contract management processes, as well as contract compliance and management.

Christie has also been employed as a Foreign Exchange Administrator with Salomon Brothers, a Regional Internal Auditor at EZ Corp, and an Executive Assistant with Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

Christie graduated from University of South Florida with a BA in Humanities and International Relations, has lived and traveled extensively abroad, and is proficient in Spanish.
