1) Big News for Little Businesses

On April 28th, the Small Business Administration (SBA) issued a press release about a renewed agreement between the SBA and GSA. Although more money has been contracted with small businesses this past year than ever before, GSA now officially has a 3% set aside goal for small businesses.

It is expected that this will hone the focus on small businesses by those government agencies utilizing GSA and the GSA Schedules. SBA plans on working with GSA to better identify industries wherein small businesses can fulfill needs.

Small businesses interested in these increased opportunities should begin attending more SBA events, such as those, listed by state at http://www.sba.gov/news/indexcalendar.html.
