1) ALLIANT GWAC for Businesses Big and Small
GSA’s newest GWAC for Information
Technology is actually divided into two separate programs:
ALLIANT, open for bids from any company, with a $50 billion
ceiling over ten years; and ALLIANT Small Business (SB), which
includes a $15 billion ceiling and a 51 percent set aside
for small businesses. The ALLIANT GWAC merges six contracts
(Millennia, Applications 'n Support for Widely-Diverse End-User
Requirements [ANSWER], Safeguard, Virtual Data Center, Disaster
Recovery, and Access Certificates for Electronic Services
[ACES]). We expect the RFP to be released within the next
six weeks, due 60 days after that, and awarded in June 2006.
With ALLIANT, subcontracting and teaming will be a necessity,
which can open many opportunities for vendors that have yet
to make a dent in the federal marketplace. Products and Services
expected to be listed on ALLIANT include:
- Security
- Information assurance
- Business process re-engineering
- Communications
- Web development
- Modeling & simulation
- Biometrics
- Nanotechnology
Approximately 20 ALLIANT awards will be made with a five-year
base and a five-year option. Additionally, ALLIANT SB will
include 40 awards. Interested parties should begin developing
teaming and subcontracting agreements with other companies
immediately. EZGSA’s contract management and client
marketing teams stand ready to assist you in making these
connections. For more information, call an Account Manager
