3) Refreshed Schedules: How to Keep Up with the Change

All GSA Schedule holders can expect one truth: like death and taxes, everyone who has or qualifies for any GSA Schedule will experience “the refresh.” It doesn’t matter which Schedule you have or are qualified for, there will be a refresh of it some day. This is a fact of the government contracting lifestyle. To ensure compliance with the FAR and other government rules, you need to stay abreast of upcoming changes to your GSA Schedule and SINs through publicly accessible government websites.

Most refreshes include modifications to existing Schedules. To see recently released modifications, go to http://www.vsc.gsa.gov, click on the “Contract Administration” toolbar, and then select “Mass Modifications.” There you various modifications applicable for various Schedules.

One good example of a recent refresh/modification is the popular MOBIS Schedule. Formerly Management, Organization and Business Improvement Services, MOBIS is now named Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services. Among the changes to the MOBIS: deletion of SIN 874-8, Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Services; and the substitution of eOffers in lieu of other electronic forms. All MOBIS Schedule holders are encouraged to reread the solicitation. If you have questions about being in compliance with the new refresh, contact an EZGSA account manager.

To keep informed by email on the most current changes to your GSA Schedule, register at http://www.eps.gov/servlet/VendorRegistration. Enter your solicitation number so that you can receive email notifications as changes and modifications to your particular Schedule are made.

All businesses must remain updated about their Schedules or you could find that you are not in compliance and running afowl of GSA post-award auditors! You may also miss out on some lucrative opportunities.
